The One thing about Tax Day I LOVE
Eleven years ago today, Jacob's c-section planned for the 22nd ocurred emergency at noon! I got to become a mom. I love that!
I am glad that Jacob chose to not follow the "plan" and came a week early, so we now have something to look forward to and celebrate on tax day!
When he arrived on tax day, I teased Jake, he really struggles with dates, that he would never forget Jacob's birthday -- he hasn't.
We are so glad Jacob is in our home! Of course he brings his fair share of challenges, but he brings more than enough joy to counteract those trying days!
Happy Birthday bud!

My quilt. . .
I don't know how many of you remember, way back in, oh well never mind how long ago I started my quilt. . .
I am finally making progress, after taking a hiatus from the quilt. . .I have restarted, and actually think, I might FINISH this thing. . .
I think I might actually like it after all. (I put it away for a long break because I didn't like it) Now, let's get the outside border done, and we will see!

DeGraffenried Horse Ride
Every year, Jake and as many of his four brothers and their older sons, his dad go on a horse ride. They always go on the week before Easter, and they all (at least Jake) look forward to going soon after the last one is over. This year was a little bit different -- Easter was a little bit early, and in Utah they had gotten more than the last few years, snow -- so where to go? They ended up just going west, onto the desert -- but the wind was there and it was COLD! It snowed on them a couple of times. . .I guess it was to make the Arizonan's glad they don't have to live in the snow. . .at least me :) -- and maybe it is just a guy thing. . .Anyway, I think they had a wonderful time, Jake and Jacob, his dad and three of his brothers and four cousins went.
Because they went over General Conference weekend, they got to see most of the Utah family, including this cute little girl -- Cora, who was born in January. . .
I am glad they got to go. We missed having them home for Easter, and I missed my camera -- but Ryan and Spencer and I had a blast! We are glad to have them home.
