A day in my life. . .

So, I went shopping and got things for ME! I got a new shirt that is really super cute, and apparently WAY different from what I usually wear. When I put said shirt on, I went out to see what Jake thought. He was out working with the chickens, that is a blog in its own right, but I digress. Before I even get there, Spencer yells, mom is a FLOWER showy girl! Say what?! So, I am a little uncomfortable, and I say, what do you think? Ryan pipes up with "you look Spanish! Yeah, mom is from India!" I didn't even ask what that one meant. I query Jake, he says I look fine, but then I have to ask Jacob for his two cents. He replies with you look "Interesting" Interesting? Is that good or bad? "Mom when I say interesting that means good to me, but your pajamas are showing, no Jacob that is just a cami, oh, it looks like what Dad wears to bed."

Living with boys is so "Interesting".

Valentine Craft

All right, so it is strating to look like Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, actually, it isn't. But, I do think there are so many cute things you can do craft wise for Valentine's Day, so I make the most of a not so fun holiday, and here is the latest:

I thought it turned out cute.

We've Got CHICKENS, Again!

When Jake volunteered to go and get the boys this afternoon, I should have suspected something, but I didn't.
He had been working outside all day, but that isn't unusual, we had considered chickens before, but Jake had decided our dog, Sunny was too much of a bird dog, so they wouldn't survive. I guess I was wrong, we are now the proud owners of four baby chicks, and no, the HOA doesn't allow them, but we have had them before and no one cared, so we will see how they go. The boys, to say the least are ecstatic!!!! Spencer came bouncing in from the store screaming we have chickens! Jacob and Ryan both proudly announced they had held them. . . Ryan sat outside and watched them while he ate his snack. . .now the question will be will Sunny let them alone, or how long will they last? For now, we have chickens, again. The first time around, our old dog was a puppy and he played a little rough with the last one, and the other ones the coyotes got them!

Student of the Week

Ryan was made student of the week this next week! He has been concerned that he wouldn't get to be this this year. This was his week. We had to make a poster to highlight him, actually, we just had to fill out a form they sent home. I prefer getting to do my own thing, but obviously they didn't ask me. So, Ryan was pretty dang excited, he started about 10:45 on Friday night, filling it out, he made a few major errors -- can you imagine starting that late and not?!?! So, we had to disguise as much as we could, and here ya go. He had many wishes for the wish that if he could make, what would it be? He finally settled on it to snow in Arizona, but a few other ideas were a baby sister so he could tease her, as many wishes as he wanted, to live in Utah, he wasn't sure how his dad could get rid of his business and how we would survive. . . We love Ryan and his great concern for his family!

Quick Craft

Ok, so I am just a little bit off on my blog, Ryan turned seven, and yesterday I was able to get the pics off the camera, the pics went to the internal memory and I don't have the "special cord" for the camera, so I was really at a loss. Costoc and me, well sometimes we can think outside the box, and we got her covered yesterday. . .but that is another post. I was telling some people about my craft that I did this week, I really am digging it, so here ya go. It says, Hugs on one side of the block, Love, Kiss and XOXO ont the other sides, it can be laid out or stacked, if it is stacked you can see all of the sides and it spells it out. It was a fun craft and I actually did it! :)

Jacob's a BEAR!

Ok, so don't look at the lack of a scout shirt for Jacob! Congrats for getting your BEAR! We have some time until he turns ten but we got the bear, now for the beads, or are they arrows? I am so not a good scout mom, but I helped him get it and I am so proud of him for putting the final push to get it done!

Goldfield Mine

On Monday, the older boys went back to school. We had hoped to get to the train park with Drew, Lauren, and Cooper, but hadn't made it, so I suggested riding the train at Goldfield. It was fun! The weather was cloudy when we arrived, in fact the Superstition's were cloud covered, the train ride which is about a 20 minute ride was longer, because of the rain -- and perfect for a ride! On our way back to the station, the clouds began to lift, and the Superstitions, were BEAUTIFUL!!!

The boys were pretty excited about riding the "Thomas Train" and the engineer was interesting enough for th eadults, and the scenery was breathtaking!

This time, we just walked around the ghost town, and got suckered in on going to a reptile exhibit that was way more expensive than it was worth and CREEPY! (They brag about having the largest collection of rattle snakes that are privately held!) --honestly though, WHO would want to have a RATTLESNAKE in their POSSESSION?!!! I mean really! Cooper and Spencer found it exciting, Lauren and I, well CREEPY would be my word! In and Out on the way home = good time!

Happy New Year

We have enjoyed having Drew and Lauren visiting Arizona! Cooper has gotten to come over and play lot's! The cousins really enjoy each other, at least usually. One of the days Cooper was over, we got our some small bottles of bubbles, and they had so much fun sitting on the freezer blowing bubbles. Ryan and Jacob enjoyed having one more little kid to play with or torment, depending on the moment! THanks Cooper for coming to Play!!

For News Year Eve, we had Marlene, Jon, Drew and Lauren over to celebrate with us! We really enjoyed having them over! Cooper and Spencer had so much fun until they got tired (10:00) so we (the girls) were able to finish schooling the men and earning a free trip to shop or get pedicures and then we welcomed the New Year and everyone went home! Thanks for coming!
