Jake had a definite opinion on how our pictures were to be taken and what to take pictures of . . .so, here we are. . . Back in early March, we planted our back quarter acre in field corn and sweet corn. We weren't sure how it all was going to go. . .
We were delighted that there was green that appeared for a variety of reasons. . .
Then our corn and sunflowers started to grow really quickly! I had my cub scouts to my house in April at Easter time, and they were able to run through the rows easily, mid May they came back. . .we played hide and go seek! It was crazy how tall the corn got in just two to three weeks!
Fast forward to today. . .The corn has started to tassel, and silk is forming. . .we are all glad the great experiment seems to be working! Most of the field corn is eight to nine feet tall! The tallest sunflowers are nine feet tall!

That is so awesome!
Holy cow, that is crazy! In IL the saying is "knee high by the fourth of July" which means it will be a good harvest... Looks like your set! Does it creep you out at all, though, like at night? I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about cornfields at night!
