Jacob's TWELVE!!

A couple of weeks agao, Jacob turned TWELVE!!! Crazy to think that we have a twelve year old in our house!!! But he (or I) made it! Jacob is an amazingly friendly child, he will have a longer than a hi, bye conversation with an adult even when he doesn't know them and they aren't asking all of the questions.

Jacob also loves to read. . .ALL of the TIME. Sometimes it is to my chagrin that he is reading AGAIN. But I am glad that he likes to read!
Jacob loves younger kids, he is particularly sensitive to those that are special needs. . .his cousin Mahrin is one of his favorite people and he is one of hers -- she is legally blind and can't run like others, but he will sit with her and talk with her and prays that she will be able to see.
Jacob loves to build with LEGOS. He love it. He will disappear downstairs for the entire day and not eat for the day if we let him.

Jacob wants to do whats right always. He is very sensitive to the kinds of books he reads and the shows he watches. I love that.
Jacob is kind. He is kind to everyone.
Jacob has a great sense of humor. He just says funny things, he is quiet so you have to listen and he has a fun with too.
Jacob has a testimony, he tries hard to make good choices.
Jacob ia a figurer, he tries to figure out how to do things or how to do things easier or how not to do things. He is always figuring.
Jacob is inventive. I can't say how many times I have found inventions in his room that he made out of random things.
Jacob likes to dream.

Jacob was ordained to the Priesthood last Sunday by his dad, his Uncle Sam and cousin Joseph happened to be in town visiting and it was special to have Joseph attend Deacon's quorum his first time and Uncle Sam was able to assist in ordaining him. Jacob decided the week before his birthday that he was indeed going to get his Faith in God award and by hook or crook he got it!

For Jacob's birthday they had a half day on his actual birthday so he was so agreeable with his brother's trying to do all of the things they loved. We went to Joe's BBQ for lunch, he took Krispy Keme's to his classmates and had his OWN doen custard filled doughnuts. For his dinner we ordered pizza, and had per his request a Baskin Robbin's ice cream cake (I love them from when I was a kid). We also went and saw Rio. I will say it was a fun, exhausting day!

Happy Birthday Jaoob and I am so proud of you!

Happy twelfth birthday Jacob from second cousins in Salt Lake! We'd love to know who are some of Jacob's favorite authors-reading is great! And I'm sure we're not the only ones who would love to hear about your inventions and about lego building adventures.
